I’ve recently finished sewing several outfits for the girls. Can you say “matchy matchy”?
One day Dan asked Kinsley what we had done that day. “Mama sew.” she explains. “What did Mama sew?” asks Papa. “Summer clothes.” informs the baby. How does she know these things?
OK, I know that this is terribly belated – but they were so endearing in their tiny vintage dresses I had to share.
Does the vanity ever end?
The perfect summer dinner, in my mind, is always followed by root beer floats…
1. Do you listen to the radio, or a CD, when you’re driving in your car/truck/SUV?
Mostly we listen to “EIEIO” as Kinsley calls it. If we’re lucky enough that she falls asleep en route, then we listen to what ever we feel like listening to. Which is often plain old silence. Which we fill with Papa and Mama style conversation.
2. Do you have one of those GPS systems in your vehicle?
Nope, not us!
3. About how many miles do you put on your vehicle in a month?
Maybe as much as 500 in a month.
4. Do you have your oil changed regularly?
Pretty much. It’s due for a change now though.
5. Do you take your vehicle to a car wash or do you wash it at home?
Both. Washing the car at home is a family activity that has gotten pretty difficult of late. We ran it through the car wash the other day, and Kinsley nearly died of fright.
6. How often do you have the inside of your vehicle cleaned? Do you do it yourself or do you pay someone to do it?
Not nearly as often as I’d like! Usually we just clean out the diapers and trash and call that good. Once a year or so, we might get it detailed…
7. What is the color of your vehicle?
Emma of Charming the Birds from the Trees is collecting satisfactions.
These are the ones that come to mind this morning:
S – soft little babies with
O – outstanding personalities
P – who are perfectly pleasing to their Mama and Papa
H – humorous to behold

K – Kind hearted,
I – interested and interesting,
N – nice as can be,
S – sublime (or as Kinsley might say – squishy!)
L – lovable
E – enticingly elegant
Y – and downright yummy!
D – and of course their dashing Papa
A – who I adore more than words can say
N – for his noble service to and gentle leadership of our family
What do you consider to be the ultimate snack food?
Coffee with lots of freshly shaved nutmeg.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 as highest), about how popular is your last name?
Popular? I don’t know – Jacobson is the 851th most common name in Brittain, I hear.
Who is your all-time favorite sitcom character, and why?
Would Barney Fife count?
Do you shop online? If so, name some sites you like to browse for goodies.
eBay and Amazon – my favorite places in the world to shop (not counting thrift shops, of course). As my postal clerk says of Amazon… “That place just makes me weak in the knees”.
Fill in the blank: I think ___________ should be ___________.
I am opinionated and all, but I can’t see how to answer this question at all – there are just too many options for me!
